Developing the schedule

This schedule is a master schedule and is automatically developed in every file.

Completing the schedule

There is a flag on the schedule with the caption Add back deduction for capital losses b/fwd in calculating gross profits?. This may be set to either Yes or No, as appropriate.

Prior to FY2004, the default behaviour of this flag was to prevent the deduction for brought forward capital losses in computing gross profits for group relief purposes. However, for new files from FY2004, the default behaviour of this flag is now to allow the deduction. Therefore, you should consider whether you need to alter the setting of this flag and change it if required.

Standard sub-schedules

This schedule has two standard sub-schedules. These schedules should be used to analyse the group relief claimed or surrendered by group companies.
The group relief supporting schedules should not be used where the Group module is being used as the Losses table will produce schedules suitable for inclusion with the relevant return.

Carry forward

On carry forward, this schedule is automatically present in the subsequent computation.
