This schedule analyses the group shadow ACT carry back position. The schedule should be used for allocating to company periods that do not overlap the group period. For normal coterminous groups this will be the immediately preceding period.
This schedule is automatically developed in every group file.
The shadow ACT schedule shows companies with surplus shadow ACT across the top and companies that have capacity to utilise shadow ACT in the prior year down the left hand side.
Shadow ACT is allocated by entering positive figures or formulae at the intersection of the appropriate row and column. The software gives an error, Allocation required, if there is both surplus, shadow ACT and unused capacity showing on the schedule.
Where the amount allocated differs from the amount recorded in a company's computation, the software gives an Update required error on the O schedule (Group members). The user must select File, Link, Update companies to post the revised allocations to the C2 schedule (Shadow ACT matrix) in the relevant computations. Amounts received will be displayed on the current period O3 schedule of the recipient company and should be carried back to the earlier period using the company carry back procedure.
This schedule displays the remaining shadow ACT available for carry back, the shadow ACT actually arising in the period, and shadow ACT that has been carried back, for each group company.
The schedule shows if the group companies have been set to be within the shadow ACT regime.
This schedule has no standard supporting schedules.
