Select User Dialog

This Windows® dialog enables you to search for and select a Windows® user. This is accessed when you are linking a ONESOURCE Accounts Production user to a Windows® user.

In addition to the on-screen advice, you should note the following:

Select This Object Type

You do not need to alter this field. This identifies that you are selecting users, rather than groups.

From This Location

This defines the location from which the Windows® user will be located.

You need to select the location within which the required Windows® user exists.

Click the Locations to open the Locations dialog and select a search location.

Enter The Object Name to Select

Ensure you have specified the location that contains the required user.

Enter the user name.

This is the text that is entered into the User Name field on the Windows Log On dialog.

Search for a user by typing the first few letters of the user name then press RETURN or click Check Names.

You can also click Advanced for a more detailed Windows® user search.

The Multiple Names Found dialog appears if there is more than one Windows® user matching the text you entered. Select the required user from the list.
