Synchronise with Xero Dialog

This dialog enables you to synchronise your data with Xero when data has been changed in either Xero or Digita Accounts Production Advanced prior to v6.29 platform (in the case of Manual Journals). The dialog can also be used to link an existing Digita Accounts Production Advanced client to an organisation in Xero. It is accessed by selecting Financial Period | Xero Synchronisation when the period has already been linked to Xero, or by selecting Financial Period | Link with Xero when making a new link.

It should be noted that entities in Digita Accounts Production Advanced are referred to as 'organisations' in Xero.

Please note that manual journals in the comparative period cannot be synchronised from Digita Accounts Production Advanced to Xero.

In addition to the on-screen advice, you should note the following:

Assess the options below before synchronising:
  • Tick Include Comparative Periods if you would like these to be synchronised as well as the current period. If unticked, only the current period will be synchronised.
  • (Prior to v6.29 platform) Enable two way Manual Journal updates: Ticked by default. Un-tick if you do not want manual journal synchronisation between Xero and Digita Accounts Production Advanced.
  • Choose to synchronise Balances or Transactions. If Transactions are synchronised, a list of all the automatic journals posted by Xero is displayed.
  • (Prior to v6.29 platform) Click Manage to open the Xero Journal Management dialog for a list of all the manual journals created in Xero or Digita Accounts Production Advanced. You can choose to unlink any of these journals by clicking Unlinked, which means they will not be synchronised with Xero. Click OK to return to the synchronise dialog
Once you have considered the above options, click Synchronise to update your data.
Click the Unlink button if you don't want your client to be linked to Xero.
