Edit Expression

You can alter conditions and add data to your report element via the Edit Expression dialog as follows:

  1. Open the Edit Expression dialog by right-clicking a table cell on the Edit Table dialog and selecting New Expression from the menu, or by clicking on or highlighting text from the Edit Text dialog and then selecting the Add Data or Add Condition toolbar options.

    2. In the Edit Text dialog any conditional text appears within square brackets and clicking on the enclosed text opens the Edit Expression dialog with the appropriate raw expression.

  2. Add or amend an expression.

    3. This enables you to browse the data in ONESOURCE Accounts Production and select an item from the data tree. The data tree represents the entity data structure as seen in the actual user interface, making it easier to locate the data you wish to include in your report element.

  3. OK. The expression is now applied to your report element.

    4. You can view a list of objects in Raw Expression by keying in a full stop, or using Ctrl and then the space bar on your keyboard.
