Entity Structure Dialog

This dialog enables you to manage the structure of your entity for the currently selected financial period. It is accessed by selecting Entity Setup | Entity Structure. Alternatively, click the Entity Structure link on the Summary tab.

In addition to the on-screen advice, you should note the following:

Structure Tree

The tree view on the left of the dialog provides a graphical representation of the structure.

You can collapse/expand the tree by clicking the /Plus/Minus icons.

Add: Click to add an item to the currently highlighted location in the structure. Select from:

• Add New Entity
• Add New Entity Group
• Add External Entity, via the Select External Entity dialog.

Delete: Click to delete the selected item or tree.

Details

When you have an item selected in the tree, the right pane provides its details.

Code: Entity code.

Name: Entity name.

External: The name as it appears in reports.

Report as: Select to report as part of the group as a whole - Group - or as part of its parent company - Company. The Academies template enables you to select Group or Academy.

Round Independently: Select the check box to enable independent rounding.
