Edit Total Dialog

This dialog enables you to create or change total rows in your report smart table element. It is accessed from within the smart table by selecting the Insert smart tag below a table section and selecting Insert total, or from the Edit total smart tag for an existing total row.

In addition to the on-screen advice, you should note the following:

General
Name: Enter an appropriate name for your row.

The name will be referred to when calculating items in your report so it is important to replace the default name with a more meaningful one. The field will not accept spaces.

Display: Select an option from the drop-down list:
  • Always: The current section shall always display in the table even when it has no value to display in any column.
  • As Required: Only displays the total row if it is adding up more than one section in the table and if it differs from a later total.
  • Never: The current section shall never appear in the table.
Style: Select a style from the drop-down list to apply to your total.
Total Narrative: Click the ellipsis to type in a narrative for the total row and add or configure data via the toolbar options on the Edit Text dialog.
Positive Total: Select the Debit option to display positive values within brackets.
Numbering
Link to elements: Insert a numbered hyperlink to a report element included in the numbering using the precise name of an existing report element from your Report Structure tab and attach this to either the Heading or Total column.

Available Sections/Totals displays items not already included in another total. Elements can be included within your total using the Add button.
