About Spell Checker
Spell checking functionality enables content to be checked against a dictionary file.
Any content misspelled is underlined in red in the content and detailed in the report Warnings Tree pane under a new Spelling Warnings section.
A Spelling Dictionary dialog is used to select a dictionary resource.
Additional dictionary files with a .dic extension can be added to the Dictionaries folder located on the application installation path if required.
An Ignored Words dialog is provided to add items that fail the spell check, but are still correct e.g. company names e.t.c. This dialog has been pre-populated with a table of known accountancy acronyms and reporting terms not included in the default dictionary.
Both dialogs are accessed from the Financial Period | Spelling menu. The Ignored Words table can also be updated automatically by right-clicking on the item identified in the Spelling Warnings section of the Warnings Tree pane and clicking Ignore.
