Close Financial Period Dialog

This dialog enables you to close the current financial period. It is accessed by selecting Financial Period | Close.

In addition to the on-screen advice, you should note the following:

Close Period

This check box, together with the finalisation dates, enables you to close the period.

When you open an entity, you are prompted to create a new period if their latest period is closed.

Periods that have been closed will not have their accounts and reports upgraded.

Dates

Start Date: This can only be edited for the first period.

End Date: This can only be edited for the last period.
