Various features within the software can be accessed via dockable panes. Dockable panes can be hidden, docked on any of the four sides of the window, or left floating anywhere within the window.
The Navigator, XBRL Viewer, Actions Task Pane, Divisional Cell Contents Pane and Workflow Task Pane are dockable panes.
To use a dockable pane, right-click anywhere along the top toolbar, and select the required pane.
By default, when a dockable pane is first switched on it will be docked on the right-hand side of the window in the auto-hide mode. Multiple panes can be switched on; these will be denoted by pane tabs on the right-hand side of the window.
A pane will slide out if the mouse is hovered over the pane tab selected. The pane will then automatically hide once the cursor is moved away.
To close a pane permanently, click on the X in the top right-hand corner of the pane.
To fix a pane permanently out, click on the Pin icon in the top right-hand corner of the pane.
Docking a pane
Once a pane has been permanently fixed out (see above), it is possible to move it and dock it on any of the four sides of the window.
Click on the title bar at the top of the pane and drag. When dragging, cursor arrows will appear on all four sides of the window, as well as in the centre of the window.
To dock the pane, drag the pane onto a cursor arrow, until the required side of the window is highlighted in blue. Dropping the pane will dock it on to the required side.
As an alternative to docking the pane, it is possible to leave the pane floating anywhere in the window. The pane can then be closed at any point by clicking X in the top right-hand corner or it can be docked by dragging it to one side.
