Certain function keys may be used as a shortcut to using the menu bar, and are described in more detail below.

F1 - Help

The software contains a context-sensitive Windows help system invoked through pressing F1 at any time or choosing Help, Contents from the menu bar. The help system is sensitive to both context and the application being used.

F6 - Previous sheet

F6 returns the user to the last schedule accessed so that successive use of F6 toggles you between two schedules.

There are two related icons, the left-facing arrow and the right-facing arrow, which allow you to navigate between all the schedules accessed. The left-facing arrow takes the user back through a series of schedules which have previously been displayed - first to the schedule last displayed, then to the one before that and so on. This option is also available through the Schedule, Last menu.

SHIFT F6 - Pick list

Shift F6 lists the schedules viewed in the open computations in order of most recent use.

To pick one, highlight it using the cursor keys and press Enter, or just double-click.

F7 - Find errors

F7 recalculates the computation to find errors and, if any exist, takes the cursor to the next one. Error messages will arise when the system expects items or totals in different parts of the computation to be the same (i.e. to cross-refer), but the figures have been input so that they are still different. For instance, if 'administrative expenses' is being analysed and one of the items making up the total is omitted, the system will register an error. This is shown in red on the screen and F7 will move the cursor to each such successive error.

This option is also available through the Edit, Find, Error menu option, or by clicking on the Error button at the foot of the screen.

SHIFT F7 - List errors

Shift F7 lists all cells which contain an error. The user may select and go to any item on the list by highlighting it and pressing return or by using the mouse.

The menu alternative for this operation is View, Error.

F8 - Linked cells

F8 produces a list of cells which are associated to the current cell. You can select and go directly to any of these cells using the mouse or by cursoring and pressing return. Cells described as parent are cells which depend on the current cell. Cells described as child affect the value of the current cell. The cell described as self is the current cell.

This option is also available on the icon bar and through the View, Links menu.
