New Financial Period Dialog

This dialog enables you to create a new financial period. It is accessed by clicking the New button on the Manage Financial Periods dialog, or selecting Financial Period | New Financial Period .

If you need to create older periods, for comparative data, this is achieved via the Journals tab.

In addition to the on-screen advice, you should note the following:

Dates

Start date: This is read-only and defaults to the day after the end of the previous period. This can be specified for the first period.

End date: Specify the end date of the new period.

Entity Type

Select a published template from the drop-down list.
