Edit Calculation Row Dialog

This dialog enables you to create or edit calculation rows in your report smart table element. It is accessed from within the smart table by selecting the Insert smart tag below a table section and selecting Insert calculation row, or from the Edit calculation row smart tag for an existing calculation row.

In addition to the on-screen advice, you should note the following:

General

Name: Enter an appropriate name for your row.

The name will be referred to when totalling items in your report so it is important to replace the default name with a more meaningful one. The field will not accept spaces.

Display: Select an option from the drop-down list:

• Always: The current section shall always display in the table even when it has no value to display in any column.
• Non-zero: The current section will only display if it has at least one value to display in any of the columns in the table.
• Never: The current section shall never appear in the table, whether it has values to display or not.

Style: Select a style from the drop-down list to apply to the calculation row.

Narrative: Click the ellipsis to type in a narrative for the calculation row and add or configure data via the toolbar options on the Edit Text dialog.

Row Expression: Click the ellipsis to enter a row calculation via the Edit Expression dialog.

Row calculations can be created by deleting the default expression and selecting the Ctrl and space bar from your keyboard. This shortcut gives you a list of the data tree objects, which can be selected to form the basis of your calculation. An example would be to add two rows in the following way NewValueRow1+ NewValueRow2.
