Manage User Security Dialog

This dialog enables you to specify the access level each user has to the application. It is accessed by selecting Tools | Manage User Security.

Specify the required settings for a Standard/Super User.

Administrators are automatically granted all actions.

• Reports - Delete Elements Within a Report: Ability to delete a report element via the Report Structure tab.
• Reports - Access to XML code: Access the XML Source tab on the Element Properties dialog.
• Reports - view variables tab (in Element Properties dialog): Access the Element Properties dialog by right-clicking an item on the Report Structure tab and selecting Properties.
• Access to Manage Users :Access to the Manage User Security and Manage User Security Settings dialogs, from the Tools menu.
• Access to User tab in Options: Access the User tab on the Options dialog.
• Access to Licensing Tool: Access the License dialog via the Tools menu.
• Style set editing: Access the Edit Style Set dialog to alter the appearance of reports.
• Dashboard - Undo Checkout:Override the status of entities that have been flagged as checked out. When this is overridden care should be taken to ensure that changes are not lost in either the checked out or local entity.
• Delete Entity: Delete entities.
• Set entity password: Create, edit and remove passwords on entity records.
• Manage XBRL taxonomies: Add or remove taxonomies via the Manage XBRL Taxonomies dialog.
• Edit XBRL tags in reports: Edit XBRL tags in reports via the Edit XBRL Tag dialog.
• Edit expressions used in financial period data: Edit table cell values and paragraph elements via the Edit Expression dialog.
• Manage journal classifications:: Add or remove journal classifications via the Journal Classifications dialog accessed via the Financial Period menu.
• Check-in financial period templates: Ability to check templates back into the application via the Check In Data Wizard.
• Journals - import transactions: Click Import on the Journals tab to run the Import Wizard.
• Journals - create journal: Click New on the Journals tab.
• Journals - edit journal: Click Edit on the Journals tab.
• Account Assignment - allocation of accounts to categories in Master allocations: Access the Account Assignment dialog via the Financial Period | Configuration | Account Assignment menu.
• Account Assignment - allocation of accounts to categories in Entity override allocations: Access the Account Assignment dialog via the Financial Period | Configuration | Account Assignment menu.
• Account Assignment - edit a category - description, order etc (everything except account assignment): Access the Account Assignment dialog via the Financial Period | Configuration | Account Assignment menu.
• Account Assignment - add a new category: Access the Account Assignment dialog via the Financial Period | Configuration | Account Assignment menu.
• Account Assignment - delete category: Access the Account Assignment dialog via the Financial Period | Configuration | Account Assignment menu.
• Dashboard - Check out client: Access the Check Out Data Wizard via the File | Check out Data menu.
• Dashboard - Check in client: Access the Check In Data Wizard via the File | Check in Data menu.
• Financial Period Configuration - Add/Delete Reporting Period Sets: Access via Reporting Period Sets dialog.
• Financial Period Configuration - Edit Reporting Period Sets: Access via Reporting Period Sets dialog.
• Financial Period templates - Publish current period as a template: Access via Financial Period Templates menu.
• Financial Period templates - Update current period to new template: Access via Financial Period Templates menu.
• Edit financial period data default values: Access by right-clicking inside a cell containing a financial period data value and selecting Default Definitions.
• Reset passwords on entities: Access via the Reset Entity Password dialog .
• Delete Financial Period: Access via the Manage Financial Periods dialog.
• Financial Period configuration - Edit Definitions: Access via the Configure Financial Period Data Capture dialog.
