  • For Onvio Accounts users (and primarily aimed at firms with OnBalance clients), you can now import Trial Balance data from Onvio Accounts (available on request).
  • A new format Nominal Ledger has been provided. It can be added to an entity/template entity by browsing to the Nominal Ledger 2020 file.

  • Various bug fixes.
Platform v6.24
The v6.24 platform provides the following:
  • We have available a new version of the UK FRS 102 content (version 14). This version includes changes as a result of the Triennial Review and must only be used by firms wishing to 'early adopt' the changes. If you'd like a copy of the new content please contact Support.
  • Various bug fixes and behind the scenes enhancements (including performance improvements for new period creation and template updating).
  • Support for 2019 taxonomies.
  • An Enable two way Manual Journal updates tick box has been added to the Synchronise with Xero dialog to allow support of Tax Inclusive/Exclusive Xero manual journals. This box is ticked by default.
  • An enhanced Database cleanup tool (including a re-index option) is provided, accessed from the Tools menu. This was introduced in version 6.21 for some firms. The cleanup tool will now alert users (where they have the relevant permissions) if a threshold of work items to clean up has been reached. It will only alert users after 5pm so the process can be left running over night if needs be. The alert takes the form of the dialog appearing after the user logs off.
  • Database size check and warnings for SQL Express. This was introduced in version 6.21 for some firms.
  • Further improvements to the Xero synchronisation functionality (support for VAT and faster synchronisation)

Important Information: We have recently become aware of a potential issue when using the Database Maintenance tool. We were unable to address the issue in the 6.24 release and, as such, this option should not be used without the guidance of our support team. This doesn’t affect the Database Clean Up tool.

Platform v6.21

A new Content Download Manager dialog, accessed from either the message box or by selecting Tools | Content Downloads from the main menu, enables you to view the latest changes and install the updates if desired. This new process is more efficient than the existing manual import process and can be configured to automatically upgrade existing templates and promote them to a Published state if required. The manual import process remains should you still wish to use this method. The new dialog also shows you the templates unused but available to your licence should you wish to install these additional items.
Platform v6.20
The v6.20 platform provides the following:
  • Various bug fixes.
  • You can now add an XBRL tag to a single cell in a smart table. Previously you could only tag whole sections, columns or rows.
  • Pieces of text in separate paragraphs can now be tagged as a single item using the new Continuation id and Continued at buttons at the bottom of the Edit XBRL Tag dialog. Eg. to apply the same tag to text in paragraph element A and paragraph element B you would enter a unique reference in the Continued at field for element A and exactly the same reference in the Continuation id field for element B.
  • An Edit XBRL tab has now been added to the Design Smart Table dialog. Previously you had to exit the dialog to change from Design mode to Edit XBRL.
  • The Trial Balance now shows the journal name and reference on breakdown rows.
  • Styles with underline or negative border spacing no longer cause the Excel export to fail.
  • You can now licence your product and view licensing usage information from within this application via the Licences dialog. From the main menu select Tools| Licences. Apply for a licence via the License tab or view how much of your licence (s) have been used via the Usage tab.
  • A message box now appears to the bottom of your screen to inform when licenses are due to expire within 30 days.

Platform v6.18
The v6.18 platform provides the following:
  • Various bug fixes and behind the scenes performance enhancements.
  • Improvements to Charities. A new Manage Charity dialog has been added enabling you to set up Fund and Resource structures for Charity entities. Once created, Fund and Resource items flow through to the Journal dialog from where they can be selected when posting transaction entries. The Journal dialog has been adapted for Charities and now has two extra columns representing Fund and Resource that incorporate drop-down buttons to select the appropriate item for use.
  • Document Management: This release enables you to store copies of client's reports on one of our range of supported Document Management Systems (DMS). More information regarding setting up and configuration can be found here.
Platform v6.17
Platform v6.17 release provides the following enhancements:
  • Functionality has been added to Journals to enable you to reverse journals from a prior period. A Reverse next period tick box has been added to the Journal dialog , if this has been ticked and you then create the next period the journal item will then appear in a new Reverse Journals from Prior Period dialog. You can then select all the journals you wish to reverse from this new dialog in the new period.
  • Entity templates have been reviewed and an administrator can now see a separate Template Entities tab which lists draft versions of templates that have already been published - previously these were shown under the Entities tab and this was causing confusion with existing entities. The new Template Entities tab has also been added to the Check Out Data Wizard for administrators.
  • The template upgrade prompt which appeared every time an entity based upon an older version of the template was opened has been removed. A user now sees a message box at the top of the screen showing the template name and the template number of the update that is available. The box also contains options to View Differences between the current and new versions, Update the entity to the new version, or to Hide the message box until the entity is next opened.
  • Various bug fixes.
Platform v6.16
The v6.16 platform is not being released in the United Kingdom.
Platform v6.15
Platform v6.15 release provides the following enhancements:
  • Undoing a check-out can now be performed without opening an entity by highlighting the entity from Entity List and selecting File | Undo Check-out from the main menu.
  • An option to remove all formatting from a smart table has been added. Right-click on the Design Smart Table dialog and select Remove Format | All.
  • The colour picker has been enhanced and now enables you to pick a colour from a spectrum range, as opposed to just being able to pick one of the default colours provided. The colour selected in the spectrum can then be added to your Custom colors area via the Add Custom Colors button. The colour picker is available on the Font tab of the Edit Style Set dialog .
  • Superscript and Subscript options have been added to the paragraph editor on the Font tab of the Paragraph Properties dialog. Use Superscript to add text slightly higher than the main text, eg 2nd. Use Subscript to add text slightly beneath the main text, eg H2O.
Platform v6.14.1
Platform v6.14.1 release provides the following enhancements:
  • Linking with Xero: You are now able to import clients and their associated journal data from Xero via the Data Import Wizard. The import process generates a client record in Digita Accounts Production Advanced which is linked to an organisation in Xero and creates one real accounting period that you can produce accounts for (the current period) and creates the rest as comparatives. The import process gives you the option to either use the Xero codes, or map these to the codes in your Digita Accounts Production Advanced template. You can also link an existing client in Digita Accounts Production Advanced with an organisation in Xero. A Synchronise with Xero dialog enables you to keep your data in both Xero and Digita Accounts Production Advanced up to date.
  • Importing via the Data Import Wizard: A new Only import accounts in use control has been added to the Data Import Wizard, enabling you to speed up the import process by only importing the account codes currently in use.
  • Mapping external accounts to internal accounts:
    • You are now able to add further mapping codes when importing into Digita Accounts Production Advanced . A New button has been added to the External Account Mapping dialog. Clicking New opens a New Account dialog from where you can add details for the new code. The new code will then appear in the External Account Mapping dialog for selection. An Edit button has also been added to the External Account Mapping dialog, Clicking Edit opens an Edit Account dialog from where you can make changes to existing codes.
    • Checks have been added to prevent you from finishing an import without mapping all the codes. If there are any codes that are unmapped (i.e on the left-hand side of the External Account Mapping dialog), you are unable to finish the import. You are shown a Validation Summary from where you can either finish the import if all mappings are in place, or return to the mappings to identify and resolve the unmapped items.
